Travis County Court Administration
This office handles a number of important jobs for the county. Court administration runs the daily "jail call" for misdemeanor cases where the person charged is still in jail. Most people use this office to get information about the first setting of a misdemeanor case. If you have hired a lawyer before your first appearance date they will contact this office for you. If you do not have an attorney you must go to this office between 9am and 11am to find out if the County Attorney has filed charges, and if so, which court you will be in and your next court date. Court administration also takes calls from the public on the status of pending cases.
The Court Administration office is located on the 1st floor of the Blackwell-Thurman Justice Center.
