Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO)
The elected Sheriff for Travis County is Greg Hamilton. In addition to being the primary law enforcement official for the unincorporated areas of the county, the sheriff's office is responsible for security at the courthouse. The sheriff also runs the county jail and is responsible for the custody and transportation of inmates. This office also operates the central booking facility where are all new arrestees are processed.
